Michael Useem is an accomplished scholar and teacher at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. As professor of management and Director of the Center for Leadership and Change Management, his teaching includes formal courses and workshops on leadership and change, teamwork, governance, and decision making for managers in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

Michael consults on leadership development and governance with many companies and organizations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. He is the author of The Leader’s Checklist; The Leadership Moment; Investor Capitalism; and The Go Point: When It’s Time to Decide. He is also co-author and co-editor of Learning from Catastrophes, and co-author of The India Way: How India’s Top Business Leaders Are Revolutionizing Management and Boards That Lead (forthcoming).

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and a master’s degree and doctoral degree at Harvard University.
