Felicia Garcia-Hartstein serves as a Search Director with Aspen Leadership Group, where she works to continuously improve ALG’s endeavor in recruiting exceptional talent and helping candidates navigate successful careers. She specializes in building teams in the nonprofit sector and manages searches with particular expertise in higher education fundraising. She has served Aspen Leadership Group since 2017 and has worked on over 150 searches, ranging from major gift officer to vice presidential searches. She previously served as Search Consultant and Director for Search Management where she helped build ALG's search management team.
Prior to joining ALG, Felicia served as Executive Director of Presidential Advancement at the University of Rochester, where she worked closely with the President of the University, Board of Trustees, and Vice President of Advancement in order to engage the University’s alumni, friends, and donors. Additionally, she has a breadth of advancement experience including fundraising for an academic unit, regional fundraising, involvement in a $1.2 billion campaign from start to finish, developing a volunteer engagement program from the ground up, and board and volunteer management. Previously, she worked for a Fortune 100 financial services organization, TIAA, in Denver, Colorado.
She also serves as the Vice President of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) for the AFP Genesee Valley Chapter, and she has served as a mentor for Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC). She is a graduate of the United Way of Greater Rochester's Latino Leadership Development Program, and she received the Rochester Business Journal's Forty Under 40 award in 2013. She holds an M.B.A and a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Chicano Studies, both from Colorado State University-Pueblo. She currently resides in Rochester, NY.
